Location creation

Start with the geography people already recognize.

Set up service zones while creating the operating location. Establish its center, then use OpenStreetMap geography to find the administrative areas that describe your coverage.

Search and compare the available areas

Search geography and review its administrative levels. Map and list views give you complementary ways to understand what an area contains before including it in the location's footprint.

This helps an operator start from the geography of a city, district or other recognized area instead of reconstructing every boundary by hand.

Select more than one boundary

Choose multiple or nested boundaries to represent how the business serves a region. Add or remove selections during setup and assign colors to make the chosen areas easier to distinguish.

A location can organize several areas within its service footprint, with the selected boundaries retained as operating geography.

Coverage beyond the standard boundary

Draw the additional area your business needs.

Administrative lines do not always match a service operation. Create named manual extensions for the additional coverage that belongs to the location being established.

Node-level refinement
Edit the shape's nodes as you build it. Undo and clear controls let you revise the draft geography while defining the area.
Names with an operating purpose
Give the extension a recognizable name so the added coverage has a useful identity when your team reviews the location setup.
A named custom extension adds specific coverage beyond the selected districtA close view of the fictional East district and Riverside extension during location creation. The seven-node Riverside polygon shares the East boundary and includes the additional road and property footprint to the east. It does not make the entire surrounding region eligible. Attach the supported price adjustment to the geography it applies to. The service offer can then reflect your approved operating policy for that area.
